On July 10, 2026, the Central Electoral Commission adopted the Decision "Regarding the assignment of a councilor mandate in the Tigheci Local Council, Leova District."

The decision was adopted as a result of the vacancy of the councilor mandate, determined by the resignation request submitted by Mariana Butmalai, a councilor elected on the list of the Political Party European Social Democratic Party.

By the adopted decision, the vacant councilor mandate in the Tigheci Local Council, Leova District was assigned to Mr. Mihail Grinco, a substitute candidate from the same political party's list.

We remind you that, according to the Regulation on the procedure for confirming the legality of elections, validating and assigning mandates of mayors and councilors, approved by the Central Electoral Commission Decision no. 1104/2023, in the case of early termination of a councilor's mandate, the vacant mandate is assigned to the substitute candidate from the same political party's list (or electoral bloc), in the order of candidates' registration on the list.
