On September 15, 2026, the electoral council of the Edineț district electoral constituency No. 16 conducted an informational activity at the "Vladimir Suhomlinski" Theoretical High School.

During the activity, students discussed democracy, democratic values and principles, citizens' rights and responsibilities, the importance of civic participation, and the role of youth in strengthening a democratic society.

Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that democracy is not only the right to vote but also involves engagement, responsibility, respect for differing opinions, and active participation in community life.

Young people represent one of the important target groups for informational and civic education activities, as they are the citizens of today and, at the same time, the generation that will decisively contribute to building the society of tomorrow. Their awareness, understanding, and involvement largely determine the future of a democratic society.

Interaction with young people created an open space for questions, opinions, and discussions about how each of us can contribute to a more responsible and democratic society.
