In the context of the International Day of Democracy, the Leova District Electoral Council No. 22 continues its information and communication activities carried out at the territorial level, through direct dialogue with representatives of local public administration and individuals involved in electoral processes.

In this context, an event took place at the Hănăsenii Noi Mayor's Office that combined the information component regarding democratic values and principles with the provision of methodological assistance in the field of electoral registration.

During discussions with Ms. Silvia Vlas, the secretary of the Hănăsenii Noi Local Council, aspects regarding the importance of civic participation, the exercise of electoral rights, the responsibility of institutions and individuals involved in organizing electoral processes, as well as the role of accurate information in strengthening trust in democratic processes were addressed.

A practical component of the meeting was dedicated to the work of the registrar and the maintenance of an accurate and updated electoral register. Aspects related to the following were clarified:

🔹 verification and updating of data from the State Register of Voters;

🔹 identification and resolution of conflict situations in the SRV;

🔹 prevention and removal of errors from electoral lists;

🔹 verification of information regarding deceased individuals;

🔹 responsibilities of the registrar in the data updating process;

🔹 resolution of practical situations encountered in current activities.

The methodological assistance provided contributes to preventing errors and ensuring the most accurate electoral registration, while information and direct communication with representatives of local communities contribute to strengthening a democratic culture based on responsibility and involvement.

The activity at Hănăsenii Noi is part of a series of actions carried out by the Leova District Electoral Council No. 22 on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy, aiming to promote democratic values and strengthen the capacities of individuals involved in electoral processes.
