The electoral council of the communal electoral constituency Sărătenii Vechi no. 34/24 has confirmed the legality of the new local elections held on May 17, 2026, and has validated the mandate of the mayor of the locality. The decision was approved during the public meeting of the electoral council on May 21 of the current year, following the examination of the Minutes regarding the centralization of the voting results. Electoral competitors and authorized persons to assist in the electoral operations were invited to the meeting.

       In this context, the electoral council has validated the mandate of the elected mayor, Anestiade Igor, designated by the Political Party "Party of Action and Solidarity," who received 432 votes, which represents more than half of the valid votes cast by the voters who participated in the voting.

      The decision of the Council is made public, communicated to the territorial office of the State Chancellery, and presented by the representative of the constituency electoral council at the first meeting or, as the case may be, at an extraordinary meeting of the communal council of Sărătenii Vechi.

     According to legal provisions, the newly elected mayor exercises his duties from the date of validation of the mandate until the date of validation of the next mayoral mandate, except in cases where the mandate ceases by law before the term under the conditions of the Electoral Code no. 325/2022.
