On October 7, the students of the "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical High School in Ungheni elected their representatives to the Student Council through direct voting. The event represented an authentic exercise in participatory democracy, through which young people learned about civic responsibility and the right to choose and to be chosen. The electoral process was conducted with strict adherence to electoral principles - secret, direct, equal, and freely expressed voting. To ensure the integrity of the electoral process and to provide a model of best practices, the president of the Ungheni Electoral District Council, Mr. Țurcanu Vasile, participated as an observer in the election. 

"Civic education and respect for democratic norms begin in school. It is essential for students to understand the importance of each vote and to undergo a correct, transparent electoral process organized according to all rules," was the message conveyed on this occasion.

The Central Electoral Commission reaffirms its commitment to supporting electoral education among young people and encourages the conduct of school elections according to rigorous standards, thereby contributing to the formation of a generation of informed, responsible, and active citizens in community life. The new Student Council will represent the voice of the high school students, with the mission of promoting their initiatives and closely collaborating with the institution's administration.
