The information session in the context of the "International Day of Elections" took place in educational institutions in the city of Anenii Noi.

The information sessions dedicated to the next generation of voters were traditionally held in educational institutions in the Anenii Noi district. This year, we had the opportunity to speak in front of high school classes at the Public Institution Theoretical High School "Andrei Straistă."

The topics of electoral issues were focused on the importance of young people's participation in elections. The civic responsibility of citizens to participate in electoral processes. The electoral processes that confer legitimacy to state power bodies and the responsibility of exercising the right to vote correctly and responsibly. The hierarchy of electoral bodies and the participation of young people who have already reached the age of majority within the electoral bodies. The analysis of risks and challenges during the electoral period that society faces. Identifying solutions to counteract disinformation and obtaining information from credible sources is a priority for every voter. Thus, electoral education becomes a subject on par with other study subjects in civic education for the younger generation.

On this occasion, a diploma of appreciation for the fruitful collaboration between the Central Electoral Commission, through the territorial electoral bodies, and the educational institution, represented by Mr. Director Margine Eugeniu, was handed over. The openness to collaboration and the receptiveness of high school students is a living proof of the utility of promoting the importance of elections in a democratic society.
