In the context of the activities dedicated to the International Day of Democracy, celebrated annually on September 15, the President of the Electoral Council of Electoral District No. 28 Sângerei, Mr. Oleg Tudosan, held a meeting with the teaching staff of the Theoretical High School "Alexandru Agapie" in the village of Pepeni.
During the discussions, several topics were addressed regarding the importance of civic participation and the exercise of the right to vote in a democratic society. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of elections for the functioning of an authentic democracy, the role of state institutions, including educational institutions, in strengthening democratic values, as well as the responsibility of each citizen in securing the electoral process, preventing fraud, and combating disinformation.
Another topic discussed was the certification process in the electoral field. In this context, the teaching staff were informed about the possibilities of involvement in the electoral process and the importance of familiarizing young people with electoral activities, including by participating, upon meeting the legal conditions, in the organization and conduct of elections as electoral officials.
