District Electoral Council Hîncești nr. 20
More involvement, more representation, more inclusion
04 September 2026 17

On September 3, 2026, I participated in the third conference in the series "Accessibility Conferences," dedicated to the participation of persons with disabilities in public and political life in the Republic of Moldova.

The conference "Participation of Persons with Disabilities in Public Life in the Republic of Moldova: Inclusion, Gender Equality, and Political Representation," organized by the INFONET Alliance, highlighted an important objective: to ensure that persons with disabilities are as involved as possible in community life and decision-making processes.

Participation means not only being present. It means having the courage and opportunity to express your opinion, propose solutions, engage in the community, participate in elections, and, when desired, contribute directly to decision-making.

During the conference, expert Alina Andronache addressed topics such as equal opportunities, political representation, and the involvement of persons with disabilities in public and electoral processes.

An inclusive society is built when persons with disabilities are not only beneficiaries of decisions but are also active participants in the process through which these decisions are made.

Every voice matters. Every opinion can bring about change. And a community is stronger when all its members have the opportunity and confidence to get involved.
