On June 25, 2026, the Electoral Council of the Leova District Electoral Constituency No. 22 organized a training and information meeting for the secretaries of local councils in the Leova district.
The activity was moderated by the chairwoman of the Electoral Council of the Leova District Electoral Constituency No. 22, Mrs. Roxana Ceoric, and aimed to enhance the participants' knowledge regarding certain practical and procedural aspects related to the administration of electoral processes.
During the training, topics concerning the procedure for assigning council mandates in the event of their vacancy were examined, as well as the actions to be undertaken by the competent authorities to ensure compliance with the provisions of electoral legislation. Additionally, the situations in which the need for organizing new local elections may arise and the procedural specifics related to them were presented.
Another important topic addressed during the meeting concerned the responsibilities of local public administration authorities in the process of updating and verifying electoral lists. Participants discussed the importance of ensuring the accuracy of data in the State Register of Voters, in order to guarantee the exercise of the right to vote under conditions of legality and transparency.
Furthermore, the secretaries of local councils were informed about the process of certifying electoral officials, highlighting the role of training and the continuous development of the professional competencies of individuals involved in organizing and conducting elections.
The meeting was held in an interactive setting, allowing participants to ask questions and discuss practical situations encountered in their current activities.
The Electoral Council of the Leova District Electoral Constituency No. 22 will continue to promote information and training activities for the actors involved in the electoral process, with the aim of ensuring the proper application of electoral legislation and strengthening cooperation with local public administration authorities.
