On September 3, 2026, the third conference in the series "Accessibility Conferences" took place, as part of the Capacity Building Program for Persons with Disabilities for Participation in the General Local Elections of 2027.

As the Chairwoman of the Electoral Council of the Leova District Electoral Circumscription No. 22, Mrs. Roxana Ceoric participated in this conference, alongside individuals interested in promoting inclusive civic and political participation.

The conference titled "The Participation of Persons with Disabilities in Public Life in the Republic of Moldova: Inclusion, Gender Equality, and Political Representation" addressed important aspects regarding the equal and effective participation of persons with disabilities in public and political life.

The lecture was delivered by Alina Andronache, a gender expert in public policies, advocacy, and civic lobbying at the Partnership for Development Center (CPD), an advocate for gender equality and a human rights activist, with over 10 years of experience in research, analysis, and promoting legislative initiatives for equal opportunities in public and political life.

The conference covered topics such as:🔹 the participation of persons with disabilities in public and political life;🔹 promoting inclusion and equal opportunities;🔹 gender equality and fair representation in decision-making processes;🔹 barriers limiting the involvement of persons with disabilities in public life;🔹 the importance of political representation and active participation in democratic processes.

Participation in such events represents an opportunity for information exchange, experience sharing, and strengthening the dialogue on accessibility and inclusion in the electoral process.

The Electoral Council of the Leova District Electoral Circumscription No. 22 supports initiatives that contribute to promoting inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities in the electoral process, as well as strengthening participatory democracy.

The event was organized by the INFONET Alliance, within the framework of the "Equal Access for All" campaign, with the support of the project "Strengthening Democratic Resilience in Moldova," implemented by UNDP Moldova and funded by Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
